Continuous baths were one form of hydrotherapy used in mental hospitals beginning in the early 1900s. This was derived from a German spa treatment where people would spend a few hours to even a few days surrounded by flowing water. A canvas covered the top of the tub so a straightjacket wasn’t needed. Sadly this method of treatment was phased out by shock therapy and chemical drug treatments.

After Disney World’s 20,000 Leagues submarine ride closed, the bigger figures and set pieces were left to sit underwater for 10 years before the lagoon was finally drained to remove the ride.
Someone on staff snapped these eerie photos of the mostly-drained attraction before crews set to work taking everything apart.
Celebrating 10,000 notes that I didn’t earn!
I hope they equal 10,000 clicks to the amazing fansite these pics came from

Last night, the 103-year-old Craigie House collapsed under the weight of our recent ice storm. It was home to the Atlanta chapter of the DAR before sitting vacant for many years. It had recently been gutted for renovations. A sad loss for Atlanta.
